KBS agents impound expired fertilizer at the coast

Mombasa - The Star reports bags of expired fertilizer estimated at KES 90 million were impounded in a go-down in Chagamwe area in Mombasa by Kenya Bureau of Standards (KBS) agents.
The more than 300,000 bags of the fertilizer were weighing 70 kg each.
The fertilizer which expired in January 2011 was repackaged in bags marked Afriventure with a new expiry date, January 2018. Arrests are yet to be made following the incident.
