KBC advertises striking workers' jobs

Nairobi – The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is seeking to fill the positions of all their striking staff who failed to show up for work on Friday last week.

Their jobs were advertised in all the local dailies on Monday. The advertisment seeks to recruit 419 staff members cincluding 10 radio reporters, 18 TV news reporters, 10 radio editors as well as 12 translators and 10 news readers for both radio and its TV station.

Striking workers are protesting the government’s failure to award them a 500 percent pay increase.
