Judiciary to blame for construction goof
02 December 2011, 08:59
Nairobi - The Ministry of Public Works has now shifted blame to the Judiciary staff over the damages to the "ultra modern" crumbling Milimani Law Courts.
Speaking to Capital News, Chris Obure, the Public Works Minister said on Thursday that the building had been in perfect condition when the contractor – NK Brothers Construction Company – handed it over earlier this year.
Obure added that the new contractor hired by the Judiciary to start fresh works on the building and was to blame for some of the defects, as all the elevators as well as the CCTV (Closed Circuit television) surveillance system were functional at the time of the hand over by the previous contractor.
