Judiciary reshuffled

10 January 2013, 14:11

Nairobi - Judges were reshuffled and the Court of Appeal decentralised into three towns in a bid ease backlog of cases by Chief Justice Willy Mutunga on Thursday.

According to The Standard, the move will now see the Court of Appeal having permanent sittings in Kisumu, Nyeri and Mombasa.

During the announcement, Mutunga also appointed five new heads of High Court divisions as well as resident judges for six stations across the country to replace those appointed to the Court of Appeal.
