23 October 2013, 20:01

Nairobi - Jicho Pevu journalists,Mohamed Ali and Allan Namu, are wanted for allegations of inciting and spreading propaganda over the Westgate mall attack, The Standard reports.

Citing limitations of the freedom of expression and freedom of media , the Inspector General of Police, David Kimaiyo, has said that the two will be arraigned in court to answer the charges. He said that although objective criticism is welcome, they will not allow people who commit offences within their framework of work to go unpunished.

Further reports by The Standard indicate that police are probing journalists who aired a video footage showing KDF officers looting Nakumatt Supermarket during the four-day siege that left over 67 people dead and dozens others injured. The Supermarket CEO, Atul Shah, has also been grilled in relation to the same.
