JKIA fire under control

07 August 2013, 09:36

Nairobi - The huge fire that broke out early on Wednesday at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Wednesday is apparently under control.

This is according to the Kenyan Red Cross who are currently on the scene. The massive fire apparently damaged the arrivals and immigration sections of the airport.

The Kenya Airports authority tweeted that the fire started at 4:35 this morning in the international arrivals building. The cause of the fire is undetermined and no casualties have been reported.

All flights into and out of the JKIA have been cancelled and the airport shut down.

Are you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport? Send us your experience of what happened and pictures to feedback.kenya@news24.com.
