I’m the authority on Judiciary finances – Shollei

Nairobi – Gladys Shollei , Chief Registrar of the Judiciary says that she has the final say on the finances of the Judiciary, not the Judicial Service
Commission, Capital FM reports.
Shollei is being investigated for alleged financial impropriety , but she is adamant in her response that she is
accountable to the Auditor General’s office and the Public Procurement
Oversight Authority (PPOA) and not the JSC, with regards to the Judiciary’s
financial and procurement decisions.
“The law clearly stipulates that on matters of procurement, I am
answerable directly to the PPOA. Similarly, in matters of financial
management I am answerable directly to the National Assembly through the
