IEBC to petition Kibaki, PM to call Dec poll

Nairobi – The Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission (IEBC) is to request President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister
Raila Odinga to dissolve the coalition government by October to pave
way for a December poll.
“We will write to the principals this week to request them to
dissolve the coalition government in October so that we can then hold
the general election in December,” IEBC chairman Issack Hassan said on
He spoke as the commission handed over the report on boundaries
delimitation to the parliamentary Justice and Legal Affairs committee.
