IEBC election kitty boosted

Nairobi - The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is close to bridging the general elections funding gap in order to conduct credible polls.
According to Capital News, Yusuf Nzibo, the Commissioner said that the commission had received a written undertaking from the Treasury that KES 4.7 billion carried forward from the previous financial year will be utilized in the polls.
The amount now brings the commission’s funding to KES 21 billion following donor funding it received of slightly over KES 2 billion.
