ICC slammed over PEV investigations

The Hague - Some politicians participating in a forum chaired by Prof Maina Macharia have termed the post election violence investigations by the International Criminal Court ( ICC) as sloppy, reopening old wounds and dividing the country along ethnic lines, The Standard reports.
Speaking at Ufangamano House in Nairobi, former assistant minister Danson Mungatana, said that the former ICC prosecutor Louis Moreno-Ocampo did not treat the Kenyan cases with the seriousness they deserved, but conducted public relations investigations and held press conferences to fool people that he had concrete facts.
Mungatana went on to add that real justice for the victims will not come by prosecuting a few individuals but by restoring them back to their former statuses before the 2007 elections changed their lives.
