The Hague - The International Criminal Court (ICC) has resolved to extend sitting hours in Deputy President William Ruto’s trial to compensate time lost while he was away.
According to ICC Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji, they would be sitting extended hours for the whole week to make up for the time lost when Ruto travelled back to the country after the Westgate mall attack, The Standard reports.
Defence lawyers had also proposed that the trial continues even during weekends to hasten the case.
