Nairobi - Top officials of Human Rights Watch International (HRWI) have criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta’s attempt to have charges facing him at the International Criminal Court (ICC) deferred.
The director of international justice at HRWI, Richard Dicker, said in New York that Kenyatta should face due process for justice to be done, Daily Nation reports.
He urged the Security Council to ignore the plea made by the African Union and the Kenyan government.
Furthermore, he said any delay of the case in The Hague would be an insult to victims of post-election violence in Kenya.
