House committee: 4m Kenyans starve annually

04 December 2012, 12:03

Naivasha - The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture John Mututho has said four million Kenyans suffer from starvation every year.

According to the Standard, Mututho said that, over half of the Kenya's population does not get enough food as the government is yet to fully address food security in the country.

The Naivasha MP attributed lack of enough food in the country to corruption, poverty, abuse of office and poor government policy.
