Nairobi - According to the latest Traffic (Amendments) Bill for 2012, the law is no longer as lenient to traffic offenders, now with a ten year jail term for drunken driving, Standard Digital reports.
This is government and parliament's new strategy in combating deaths on Kenyan roads.
If a person is caught driving under the influence of alcohol, the fine is KES 500 000 or ten years in jail, or both.
