Govt's plan that forced Knut end strike

Nairobi - Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) officials were forced to surrender and call off the teachers' strike after being pushed to the wall by the government.
According to Daily Nation, it is believed that Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi held a closed-door meeting with officers from the Labour ministry before announcing the indefinite closure of schools.
This meant that the teachers would have missed pay for at least three months.
