Govt to review sex education directive

Nairobi - Deputy President, William Ruto has said that the government will review the sex education directive that gives 10-year-old children access to contraceptives.
The sex education is one of the provisions of the Reproductive Health Care Bill of 2014 which has sparked controversy in the local church.
The bill seeks to tame runaway teenage pregnancies in addition to protecting sexually active children against sexually transmitted diseases, Daily Nation reports.
However, the church considers the Bill immoral, with clerics maintaining that it will boost sexual immorality among young children.
