Govt goes digital on JKIA fire updates

Nairobi - Senior government officials turned to social media to give live updates about the fire that broke out at the Jomo Kenya International Airport on Wednesday morning.
According to The Standard, Cabinet Secretary Francis Kimemia, Interior Principal Secretary Mutea Iringo, the Kenya Red Cross, and the National Disaster Operation Centre posted live updates of the situation on the ground on their Twitter handles.
Dennis Itumbi, the Director of Digital and New Media in the Office of the President was also not left out on giving live updates about the fire.
