Nairobi - The Health CS, James Macharia has warned teens against engaging in careless sex, saying the practice is watering down the government’s efforts to fight HIV.
Macharia mentioned that youths between the age of 14 and 25 years of age are vulnerable to HIV infection, and called for inclusion of this group in reproductive health programmes.
Speaking in Nairobi during the Sixth Conference on Peer Education, Sexuality, HIV and Aids, Macharia urged youths to engage in responsible sex behavior to curb the spread of HIV
An official from LVCT who also attended the conference further challenged parents to provide sex education to their children, Daily Nation reports.
