Nyeri - Government has delayed the payment of coffee growers in the county and as a result they have sold coffee at a lower price, Daily Nation reported.
This has made ward representatives sell produce to Sagana Mills.
By law payment needs to be made to farmers 14 days after trading.
Now farmers have opted to sell their coffee to overseas buyers because of the position between them and the government.
