Githurai residents demand for release of police officer

Nairobi - Traffic flow on Thika Highway was disrupted by protesters who were demanding for the immediate release of a police officer who is accused of murder.
The protesters who included residents and matatu operators in Githurai 45 blocked the highway for several hours on Tuesday making it impassable, The Standard reports.
The officer, Titus Musila, was arrested and charged with the murder of two brothers following recommendations by the Independent Policing Oversight.

They said Musila should be released because he had helped in the reduction of cases of crime in the area.
