Nairobi - Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi on Tuesday said the government will roll out the One-Laptop-One-Child programme in phases, The Star reports.
He confirmed that the government might first roll out laptops worth KES 20 billion in November in readiness for the January 2014 term.
According to Kaimenyi, one laptop will cost between KES 28 000 and KES 35 000 and so this scenario will ensure cost effectiveness during implementation of the programme.
