Free laptops project ready to roll

Nairobi - The Standard reports the government is ready to roll the laptop-for-schools project with 6,000 primary schools set to benefit in the first phase of the project January next year.
According to the seen Ministry of Education documents, the first phase is projected to cost KES 22 billion.
It is estimated that about 425,000 pupils will be provided with the laptops starting in January, out of the 1.3 million children expected to join Standard One next year.
