Foreign dignitaries in the country for Kenya’s 50th birthday

Nairobi - Ten heads of state have already arrived at the Safaricom Stadium for the Kenya @50 celebrations.
The Sri Lanka’s President, Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is on a four day state visit, and Malawi President, Joyce Banda, have been in the country since Wednesday.
Others who have already taken the dais at the Safaricom Stadium include: Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, Tanzania's President Jakaya Kikwete, Botswana's President Ian Khama, Southern Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan, Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza and Eritrea's President Isaias Afewerki.
Former heads of states Prime Ministers and envoys from various countries across the world are also at Kasarani to celebrate Kenya’s Golden Jubilee.
Seventeen presidents were expected to attend Kenya @50 celebrations.
