17 October 2013, 17:23
Uasin Gishu - The National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) have been called on by maize farmers in the North Rift to purchase harvests, Standard Digital reports.
The NCPB has filled their silos and this has created a stumbling block for farmers who have already harvested their but are unable to sell their produce.
This was confirmed by a NCPB depot official who said that storage facilities are still full
of maize acquired last year, therefore no more could be bought.
