Families displaced by landslides in Mt Elgon

Mt Elgon - The Star reports close to 40 families in Mt Elgon have been displaced by landslides caused by heavy rains that hit the area last night.
Residents of Cheptanui village have been forced to vacate after the landslide left them homeless and are now camping at Kapten market.
Provincial geologist Evans Masaki visited the area and urged the residents to move to safer grounds until the rains subsided.
