14 June 2013, 07:05
Nairobi - Daily Nation reports prices of basic goods and food items are going to be increased for the Treasury to raise additional revenue that will finance pledges made by the Jubilee Coalition during the campaign.
Free maternal health services and laptops for pupils are among the projects that will be funded by the additional revenue that will be raised.
The government also seeks to fund infrastructure projects among them, the construction of a modern
railway line, which is expected to be completed in the next three years.
