Education tops list of incomplete projects

Nairobi - A number of developmental projects under the KES 22 billion Economic Stimulus Programme may not be completed by the March 4, General Election.

According to the Daily Nation, the Economic Stimulus Programme was meant to jump-start the economy after the global downturn that saw the country record a miserly 1.7 per cent growth in 2009, down from a high of 7.1 per cent in 2007.

The Treasury’s latest report on the status of implementation of the projects, shows that the Ministry of Education leads with the highest number of projects that are unlikely to be completed before the current government’s term expires.
