Ebola scare at JKIA

Nairobi - There was panic at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) following the emergence of reports that suggested a male passenger with symptoms of Ebola had arrived at the airport from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The passenger is said to have arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday night aboard a KQ 550 flight.
He vomited in the plane forcing the Kenya Airways crew to alert Ministry of Health officials, The Standard reports.

However, the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Nicholas Muraguri said the passenger was suffering from food poisoning and that tests for Ebola came negative.
