Nairobi - Parliament’s Leader of Majority Aden Duale has said Kenya is ready to hold talks with the Al Shabaab terror group for the sake of peace.
Speaking in Somali dialect, Duale said they are ready to send elders and religious leaders to lead the talks with the terror group that has claimed responsibility for a string of terror attacks in Kenya, the latest being the attack on Mandera County Governor Ali Roba’s convoy, where four people were killed, The Standard reported.

However, Duale later defended his remarks and said the Somalia leadership was not doing enough to combat the militants.
He said they have never held talks with terrorists, bandits, militants and drug dealers, and they don’t have intentions to do so.
