31 January 2014, 15:31

Nairobi - Two people were killed and scores injured when gangsters hijacked a bus along Thika Road in Nairobi.

According to police, the bus was hijacked by five armed gangsters who posed as passengers before taking over the bus that was heading to Githurai 45, Daily Nation reports.

The bus driver was stabbed to death, according to police while the deceased passenger was thrown out of the moving vehicle and run over by the same bus and other vehicles that were moving at high speed on the usually busy highway.

Those injured were thrown out of the vehicle by the gangsters along the way. Police are now searching for the thugs who managed to escape after the incident.
