Nairobi - The Standard reports Persons with disabilities (PWDs) are seeking to be included in managing county governments.
Under the umbrella body United Disabled Persons of Kenya (UDPK),they want the County Governors and County Public Service Boards to honour the legal provision that advocates for their inclusion in elective and appointive positions as outlined in Article 54(2) of the Constitution.
According to PWD representative Trizah Onyango, it promotes realisation of at least five per cent opportunities in elective and appointive positions for PWDs.
