Diaspora vote officials ready

Nairobi - According to the IEBC, the officials who will conduct the forthcoming general elections in the diaspora have already been trained and are ready to conduct the poll.
The constitution of Kenya gives Kenyans residing outside the country an opportunity to participate in the election that provision is to be realized progressively. Due to time and financial constraints IEBC made a decision to conduct elections in East African countries.
The Commission managed to register over 3000 voters in the short registration period.
Those in the diaspora will however only vote for the presidential post only.
Elections officials have been trained on document validation, troubleshooting, voter identification, vote counting and transmission.
