Cousins hack man to death over land

14 February 2014, 16:44

Nyandarua - A man in Nyandarua was on Friday hacked to death by his cousins following a land dispute.

Confirming the incident, area police boss Murkomen Chebet said there was an argument between the man, Joseph Kinuthia Gatheca and his two cousins on who should own the land that was left by his late father, The Standard reports.

Kinuthia was attacked by one of his cousins with a panga after he refused to surrender the land title deed.

His neighbours rushed him to a local hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival, while his cousins managed escaped.
