Court stops urban refugees relocation

Nairobi - A government directive that ordered refugees living in urban areas to return to camps has been nullified by the High Court.
The ruling by Justice David Majanja said that the directive issued on 18th December 2012 and 16th January 2013, threatens the rights and fundamental freedoms of the refugees as vulnerable group of the society, Business Daily reports.
The directive had been issued after a spate of attacks had rocked Northern Kenya regions as well as the capital Nairobi, with several blasts in the largely ethnic Somali district of Eastleigh.
