Nairobi - Former Industrialization Minister Henry Kosgey got a slight reprieve as the High Court stopped the the ongoing trial until a case he filed against the prosecutor is heard and determined, Capital News reports.
The minister who stepped aside after the charges of allowing the importation of overage motor vehicles were filed claims that the Special Prosecutor Patrick Kiage had no legal capacity to prosecute him.
Justice Nicolas Ombija granted Kosgey the permission to initiate a judicial review of his prosecution and ordered that the case pending before the anti-corruption court should not proceed until his petition is heard and determined.
