County govts’ performance satisfactory - survey

Nairobi - A survey conducted by Transparency International (TI) Kenya reveals that 43.7 percent of Kenyans are satisfied with the County governments’ performance.
According to the survey, only 41 percent of those interviewed felt that the performance of County governments was poor. Out of the remaining 11.7 percent of correspondents said the the performance was very good.
Majority of those interviewed had faith in both the national and County government’s commitment to implement their campaign manifestos, with 70.3 percent expressing confidence that the national government would fulfill their campaign pledges, The Standard reports.
Other aspects of governance and leadership were also rated well. However, high consumer prices did not augur well for the country's economy.
