County bags Sh40 billion film deal in bid to create jobs, end poverty

Nairobi - The Cinema of Kenya, as the film industry is known is in-line to benefit from a multi-billion shilling deal, Standard Digital reports.
The first film that was made in the country was in 1952, Men Against the Sun. The country's jungles were an important aspect of western filming.
The deal , between Kiambu County government and the Film Village of Kenya is believed to be in the region of Sh40 billion and will development in the region in the form of film studios and theatres to promote a film culture.
