Cops track Dandora murder suspects

Nairobi - Police have begun a manhunt for suspects behind the death of a man at the notorious Dandora dumpsite.
It is alleged the death was a result of a clash between two rival gangs, the latest in a series of violent incidents at the country's largest refuse site.
"We will search for those who are responsible because we cannot hold everyone accountable," said Starehe Office Commander, Samuel Anampiu.
It is alleged that the groups were armed with crude weapons during the clash.
Several gangs have taken control of Dandora.
They are accused of extorting cash from garbage collectors who frequent the dump site for re-usable waste.
It is also a haven for outlawed groups in the country.
Dandora is one of the most insecure places in the country due to the slum settlement that characterises its surrounding.
Gangs have taken advantage of alleged negligence by the government to extort money from residents in exchange for their security and provision of other basic facilities.
