Nyandarua - The Kinangop Plateau Conservation Group has partnered with Nature Kenya to save the region's endangered bird, Sharp's Longclaw, Daily Nation reported.
Together with the community of Guthinguri Village, they have set to save the endangered specie.
As the years have gone by, numbers of the bird have decreased because of deforestation.
The villagers fear by not protecting it, their children will grow up not knowing about the bird.
The bird is a necessity to farmers because they mainly feed on insects that destroy crops and also make farmers aware when they use chemicals.
The two partners want to educate farmers on how to manage land.
The bird still attracts tourists from all over the land.
