Clinton's peace message to Kenya

Washington - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday used a congratulatory Jamhuri Day message as an opportunity to underscore the Obama administration's hope for "free fair and peaceful" elections in March 4, 2013.

According to Daily Nation, Clinton declared on behalf of President Obama and the people of the US, that Jamhuri Day is an opportunity for Kenyans to honour your commitment to liberty, democracy, and statehood and to look toward the historic challenges and opportunities of the year ahead.

She went on to add that the next elections, are an opportunity for Kenya to take another bold step in implementing its new constitution and strengthening its democracy.
