Cancer challenges health policy planners

Nairobi - The Star reports Kenyatta National Hospitals (KNH) CEO, Richard Lesiyampe, has said that the government is facing challenges in fighting diseases in Kenya.
According to Lesiyampe, the leading cause of death worldwide are non-communicable diseases.
He said the emergence and re-emergence of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes and hypertension pose a fresh challenge for health policy planners in Kenya.
