Bus company operations grounded after crash
30 August 2013, 08:03
Nairobi - Roads Cabinet Secretary Michael Kamau has ordered the company whose bus was involved in the accident that killed 41 people to stop its operations and the owners be charged.
According to Kamau, the bus was operating without a license from the Transport Licensing Board (TLB) and was also overloaded with 77 passengers instead of 61 as its capacity requires, Daily Nation reports.
Kamau said they would come up with rules to stop buses from carrying passengers at night to avoid such horrific accidents in future.
