Nairobi - The incident that led to a bride-to-be and her brother-in-law being shot at by armed gangsters, may be linked to police imposter Joshua Waiganjo, according to leads police are investigating.
Ayub Nyaoke, who died on Tuesday in hospital, had accompanied his sister-in law to be, Beatrice Nyaoke, 32, to collect her wedding rings, when they were accosted by gangsters who shot them in a shop at Corner House, The Star reports.
The police say Beatrice may have been 'collateral damage' in the hit which was targeting Nyaoke, who works as a constable with the Anti-Stock Theft Unit in Transmara, and had previously been based at Gilgil where Waiganjo claims he was based.
