Baraza willing to clear name in NCPB maize saga

Nairobi - The former Deputy Chief Justice Nancy Baraza has distanced herself from reports of alleged misconduct during the NCPB maize saga.
According to The Standard, Baraza, who was the legal representative for Erad Supplies in the case, said that she was willing to appear before the LSK’s disciplinary committee and clear her name over the charges pressed against her by the House Committee on Public Investments.
NCPB had been sued by Erad for breach of contract and had some of NCPB’s assets frozen.
The maize scandal investigation report recommends that Baraza be investigated for alleged misconduct, and three directors of Erad be probed over alleged fraud.
