Authorities identify soldier killed in barracks attack

Nairobi - Authorities have identified a soldier who was killed in an attack on Nyali barracks on Sunday.
The slain soldier was identified as a senior private called George Hongo.
Meanwhile, police are yet to identify the six attackers who were killed by the Kenya Defence Forces soldiers in the attack because they did not have identification documents on them, The Standard reported.

According to police sources, no family member had come forward to claim the bodies that are lying at the Coast General Hospital mortuary in Mombasa County.
Their fingerprints have already been taken to the officers at the National Registration Bureau, to help reveal their true identities.
