Kakamega - Incidences of thugs dressing in police uniform and harassing Kenyans continue with further cases reported in different parts of the country.

Arthur Amukowe and his wife Zipporah were attacked by unknown assailants numbering around ten at their home in Eshiraka location Kakamega County.
The thugs initially identified themselves as police and when the couple, having seen them in uniform, opened the door to let them in, they pounced on them, beating them and demanding money from a sugar cane deal that had been struck earlier in the day.
They took off with KES 50,000 in cash and left Amukowe and his wife with deep machete wounds following a severe beating.
Another incident took place in Matasia area of Kajiado County, this time five men, three dressed in police uniform ambushed a driver and robbed him of his valuables estimated to be worth KES 30,000.
Inspector General of Police service David Kimaiyo has intimated that he will set up a task force to investigate the rising incidences of persons in police uniform terrorizing Kenyans.
The cases come in the wake of a report which highlighted the growing number of police officers either directly involved in crime or as agents to the vice.
