Nairobi - Daily Nation reports President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto's cases can not be handled by the African Court.
According to the court's president Lady Justice Sophia Akuffo, the court has no jurisdiction to handle the cases but the African Union is planning to expand its jurisdiction to deal with such cases.
Addressing journalists at Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi, Akuffo said the recommendation on the expansion of the court’s jurisdiction
is expected to be tabled before the AU Heads of State and Governments
Summit in January 2014 before being voted for.
