AG strips governor's wives of 'First Lady' title

Nairobi - Governors’ wives will no longer be referred to by the 'First Lady' title.
This comes after the Attorney General Githu Muigai said the title should only be used when referring to the President’s wife and not the spouses of governors, The Standard reports.

The AG also said that no office or budgetary provision should be given to the governors’ spouses.
He also dismissed proposals for the establishment of an Office of County First Lady.
