60,000 pupils at risk due to contaminated food

Nairobi - Abbas Gullet, the Secretary General of Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) raised the alarm that some of the Unimix bought by the Kenyans for Kenya initiative was found to be contaminated, The Standard reports.
In a statement to parliament, Gitobu Imanyara, the Mp of Central Imenti raised the issue and named Proctor & Allan and Sai Millers as some of those contracted to supply the Unimix.
Minister for Public Health Beth Mugo, is expected to deliver a statement to parliament on the matter next week as over 60,000 students who ate the food are at risk.
Proctor & Allan top managers could not be reached for comment.
