Nairobi - Four suspected terrorists have been gunned down by authorities in Malindi Wednesday.
In a report on Capital News, the 4 were gunned down after evading months of arrest, with Police reports indicating that Suleiman Mohammed Awadh alias Abdalla Salim Marumu whose photograph has been circulated by police last month and a bounty placed on his head had also been shot in the incident.
Malindi Police Chief Matawa Muchangi confirmed the incident.
" We managed through the shoot-out to fatally injure four people among them Awadh who it seems was the one who paid for the house where they were staying," Muchangi said in the report.

The Star also reported that the officers were forced to fire at the assailants after they asked them to surrender.
The Police boss said that officers went to the suspects' hideout after receiving a tip-off from members of the public.
After they knocked the door, the suspects allegedly responded by hurling grenades, an indication they may have been aware of the police pursuit.
"We had no choice but to open fire on the suspects," he said, adding no police officer was injured in the incident.
